Ev.energy’s smart home electric vehicle (EV) charging network data services are to be combined with Hubject’s global eRoaming network data and consulting services.
The two have signed a global strategic partnership with the intention of harmonising data and further automating processes both within and between companies.
It's hoped this will achieve substantial efficiency gains while also providing clients with a "360º view of the EV charging space".
The data includes energy usage insights, public charging station data and EV tariff data among others. Nick Woolley, ev.energy’s CEO and co-founder said: "By working together, Hubject and ev.energy have consolidated the most comprehensive dataset on EV charging available anywhere in the world."
The data provides insights on home and public charging across thousands of drivers, according to the companies, with Woolley stating this helps chargepoint operators, energy utilities and governments better serve drivers and integrate EVs into the transport and energy systems.
Last month, ev.energy extended its Series A financing round to £9.6 million with the intention of scaling its platform to additional partners, as well as to build new capabilities and products that intelligently manage EV charging.
It also recently secured £295,000 to scale up what it said is the UK’s first commercially operating virtual power plant using only EVs.
